Squirrel 0.7.4 now available

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Squirrel 0.7.4 has just been released. It fixes some bugs, including those that prevented the undo feature from working properly.

We have some new features as well: a new reconciliation module designed for those who reconcile their accounts with their paper bank statement, some UI improvements (better budgets review, no more blurs in the history graph), and a great new icon made by Iiro Jappinen.

Furthermore, you can now follow us on Twitter to get updates on the development.

What’s up with the iPhone app?

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

You might have noticed the iPhone app is not available in your store. This is related to a bug introduced with a recent update.

Users that have updated from a previous version, and who had never synced the iPhone app with the desktop app, were not able to use the app anymore. Their accounts could not be displayed, and they could not add accounts anymore.

New users and users that synced haven’t had any problems. That’s why this bug hasn’t been spotted during the test period. I’ve removed the iPhone app from the App Store, and I’ve submitted a fix to Apple. The iPhone version of Squirrel will be back once it’s validated.

If you’ve updated Squirrel for iPhone when it was online, and can’t see your accounts anymore, the data is still there. Just keep this version installed and wait for the update.
