Squirrel 0.7.4 has just been released. It fixes some bugs, including those that prevented the undo feature from working properly.
We have some new features as well: a new reconciliation module designed for those who reconcile their accounts with their paper bank statement, some UI improvements (better budgets review, no more blurs in the history graph), and a great new icon made by Iiro Jappinen.
Furthermore, you can now follow us on Twitter to get updates on the development.

Hmmm, the new icon really look different. I hope I get used to this new one…
I think I like the old icon better…
Great now I can follow all important Apps on Twitter! I like the new Icon, it is better than the old one… The emphasis is on the safe and not on the squirrel
Love the new icon! The old one stood out a bit too much for my taste. This one is really nice. Great job from the designer making the icon a little less “childy” while keeping the squirrel.
Just wanted to tell you I love the new icon, too!
Could you please add investment tracking?
Squirrel is a great app and the new features are most welcome. However, regarding the icon, to me it looks like the safe is squishing the squirrel :-S. The positioning of the squirrel makes no sense to me, to be honest (how is it being held up there?). I think the older icon was much cleaner and simpler.
@zuowen I’m thinking about it. Maybe for the 2.0 version.
Just supported the development of squirrel. Easy to use and fits my need but I would like to see the following:
1. Can you review the transfer feature when transferring from a “checking or savings” account to a “cash” account. It does not show up in the transfer dialog box.
2. I would like to see a list of categories for purchases where expense and income can be separated.
3. Are you planning on enabling the feature where various currencies can be set?
I like the “new” icon, it goes along with the idea, “things are changing” with squirrel…:-)
@ Donnie 1. Cash accounts show up correctly in the list for me. Are you sure the cash account is not hidden? 2. That will be an improvement for the new reports. 3. Multiple currencies will be supported in the 2.0 version of Squirrel. Their implementation requires a lot of work if we want to do things correctly.
It’s always good to see Squirrel to get more features, older ones being polished, but I can’t see the new icon is as much pretty and funny as the old one
